Today was not that thrilling. In my free, I discovered that noone else could do the maths homework either, so I was happy not to be the only one. I gave out party invites (oh how I love partyage!)
Heehee! Matthew P just sent me an email saying "I have my GCSEs in 5 weeks. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Anyway, talk to you soon." Heehee... he's funny.
Anyway. In Physics I did nothing. Mr Bowles talked about refraction and diffraction (something we did 2 years ago), he asked me something which I answered on autopilot (and apparently go right and all!). Then was maths, we were doing trial and improvement. Oh, the mental strain.
Then I was interviewed about the AS system, along with Margarethe, Laura E, Frances, Lucia, and... someone else. I forget. All of which meant I left school half an hour later than usual, and still managed not to miss the bus.

My French exam was (irritatingly) moved to Thursday, so there you go. Further Maths was dull... in PSE we didn't know where we were meant to be, so we all (we being my form) sat around in the common room for the hour... in Physics I did maths homework, pretended to be amused at Mr Bowles suggesting I redyed my hair to match my jumper every day, and ducked when the propeller thing broke and flew across the room... In French, while not in exams, we were given a 50 word thing to write, which took all of 2 minutes.
Today was another day of slackage. Physics... I actually got 35/44 for that Physics, which isn't too bad considering how late I was. School was really empty today, everyone was skiving because of the Queen Mother's funeral (we're allowed to be off to watch it, so everyone pretended they were). In Further Maths I discovered I have forgotten all of group theory, and Mr Griffiths decided to give us a geography test for reasons best known to himself. We had 20 countries and had to write their capitals. I got 11/20, pitiful, but better than Anna and they did include Mongolia, Uganda and Morocco. In French other people had orals (mine is tomorrow, the fear!) and we got to write yet another essay about Europe. And Maths was just Maths.
Also... on the bus Ryan stared at my hair all the way home. Which was bizarre. And also, the engine exploded so we had to switch buses. Which was also bizarre.
And my Red Dwarf video turned up! Joy!

First day back of school today. Lots of people liked my hair! Which is good.
In French we did very little while other people had their orals, and Chloe wrote a story about a rabbit being made into a casserole for her German homework.
Then I had a free. Then was lunch time, during which I forgot that I had a Physics exam due to start at 1 o'clock, and was therefore 10 minutes late. I've been late to every exam this year, now. But still, I finished it all in the time. We got to drop ballbearings into a tube of oil and then try to get them out again using a magnet. Bizarreness.
Anyway, the exam meant I only had Physics until half two, so I had a free again. I talked to Emma... went and talked to Lisa and her chums during their foodtech break. And only our school is back today... St Mary's, St Benedict's and the Grammar are back tomorrow (unless they stay off to watch the QM's funeral), so it was just us. But still, fun.
Today I was at the Leaping Hare thing, a Pagan conference in Colchester. Mucho fun.
Random things from it:
o The Maoris are one of the few 'primitive' tribes to traditionally allow divorce, as their creation myth involves the divorce of their skygod and earthgoddess.
o At one point after James was monarch instead of Elizabeth I, 70% of all witnesses to the witchcraft trials were young children.
o Once, in Blomberg, 300 people were burned as witches in the town square. Afterwards, houses half a mile down wind had a half-inch layer of fat covering them.
o Woad is gross. For it to work, you have to get a guy to urinate on it first.
Also, Shelley was on the bus so I talked to her lots. Fun day :)

Mum thinks that open-plan houses are a bad idea, because you wouldn't have anything to slam.
"You'd have to slam the dishwasher."
Heehee..

If you are bored of me going on about myself all the time, this month's Alchera collab is to write a 113 word journal entry every day until the end of May, without mentioning yourself. I've started it here.
So the sibs are going to the cinema. I've have 6 hours sleep... talked to Lauren on AIM, 6 hours sleep and now I'm talking to her again. Fun!
I really can't be bothered to do my French, you know.
We're rearranging the furniture to avoid having to do homework. Il y a beaucoup de differences entre les attitudes... See, I know it.
Too much chocolate is not of the good...
Have I mentioned that I love this guy?
Have I mentioned that I love this guy?
Hey, I just went shopping. I've learned about 2/3 of my presentation (on the bus) as well. I bought... earrings, chocolate for Nina and Megan, Emily's birthday present, and a card for Nick's birthday. And I went to the library. And that is all!
So I retook the IQ test. Last time I was 158. Now I'm 169. Apparently I'm more intelligent than Mozart, then. Hmm.
"Congratulations! Your general IQ score is 169. A person whose IQ score falls in the range of 161 and above is considered to be a "genius"."
So. I am a genius, then. ...I'm tired.
So. I am a genius, then. ...I'm tired.
Despite the fact that I just used it in my essay, I refuse to accept that 'indubitablement' is a word in any language.
And I really should write more of Lilith.
I spent most of this morning pretending to be asleep in order to avoid Matthew's oh-so-humourous April Foolage. I only had one all day (by email)... quite succesful, no?
I Love the Muppets was fabulous. I do, indeed, love them all. Especially Fozzie, Gonzo, Kermit, Scooter, Floyd and Rowlf.
I'm just finishing my joyous French essay about Europe in 2050 (so boring), and talking to Poeie about how translucent floors would be a bad idea. And soon I will have to go to sleep, as tomorrow I really have to learn my French presentation. And post letters to Nicole, V and Dervla. Yes.

Bonjour, we have just had a family outing. We went to Sudbury and walked along the river, around the town and to 2 pubs. Oh, and we saw a turtle. Then we drove around... you know when you're driving and there's a pheasant in the road? Well, this time there was a peacock. That was... bizarre.
So, the Queen Mother died today. Always weird when someone who's always been there suddenly... isn't.
What a horrible jubilee year the Queen is having.
Anyway.
You know how a while ago, I stabbed myself in the knee with my thumbnail? There's still a mark. How come my thumbnails are the only ones that never break?

Hello... Louis, Jo and Rosie all liked my hair, goodgood. And Ernie bought me a creme egg, which is always fun.
Anyone see French and Saunders: The Egg yesterday? Hilarious.

Well, I think the second mouse was obviously just the ghost of the first one, seeing as it totally vanished without a trace.
And, email from my Dervy!

You know, the sort of tv on at this time of night really is complete drivel.
Still, what can you expect?
Sometimes I really love the internet. I mean, how else would I get to talk about mouse-lacrosse and book-earrings at 1am?

...half listening to midnight wallpaper tv...
And just what is 'religious heritage'? Why should what your parents think have anything to do with what you think? Okay, it's bound to have some influence, but it shouldn't be the only deciding factor.
So I'm sitting here in the middle of the night, wearring three earrings and waving the other one around waiting for the glue to dry (ntx: stop picking the glue off your earrings. Really. They just break), with wallpaper tv that really is too loud but I need it, because the house is making weird creaky noises that I really don't need to be hearing, and I can't go out of the room because there's a mouse in the hall and I really can't be opening doors and letting it come and eat all the cables. Ah well, not like I really have to be up tomorrow or anything.
Having my hair dyed was so entertaining. It was obviously old-lady day, all these women getting blue rinses and perms tutting at me (although one of them said I looked nice!), it was so hilarious. Lyn made Val take a picture of me. It was so fun! I was an event... va! And it does look incredibly cool, too.
Earlier today (yesterday, really) we had such a social event... Grandad, Aunty Jean (mum's aunt, but there you go) and Julie came over. They talked about... well, my hair, school, how much I've grown, how I'm nearly 17, how I'm going to go to university, etc. etc... and also about Grandad's birthday, old people, Dedham, and various other random stuff. And we planned to go to Southwold at Whitsun. I love going to Southwold. It's so fab.
...and judging by the gruesome noises issuing from the hall, the mouse crisis is over.
Hmm. I think I just glued my earring to a book.

Oh yes! I completed FFIX! Yay me!
So. I have indigo hair.
Hee!
Hee!
Oh! Carrie is so, so lucky!
She went to Dimension Jump... and talked to Chris Barrie, and DJJ sang at her. Va... so jealous!

According to Lisa, I have good ears. Joy.
Bryony is here, to escape from the child of Satan apparently... Matthew is "ill" but still we have made him hoover... I did the recycling (so I've done 1h5 over the minimum already this month)... um... it took only 4 minutes to wash my hair, as well. Tomorrow is hairdye day!
Mum has emailed Lisa saying we have to feed Matthew a cheese sandwich with marmalade and jam. Um...
Oh, and I made my about page. It's in c+, I'll link it later.

Bah! Okay, I was a bit disparaging about the Palm Sunday-ers, but I'd never do something like that!
We're watching the Oscars on tape (I think it's the Oscars, but I'm not really paying much attention) and I'm shouting "you are too thin" at random people.

Inuktitut is a very pretty written language. All triangles and wiggly bits. Like it.
Well, I was just woken up (by the Palm Sunday people singing outside our house with maracas) and spiked my hair up, and I realised something.
Not only do I now look distinctly male, but with purple spikes I'm going to look like Knuckles.
Ah well.

Chris says that Tejano is the source of all evil in the world. I wonder what Tejano is?
Term is finally over! I got 2 easter eggs (we're doing Secret Easter Bunny (like Secret Santa, but... yeah (nested brackets!))) already.
Ooh... email from Kerry :)
Anyway. On the bus I was opening my Easter egg. And Ryan goes "It's everything I always wanted! It's shiny, and round, and... an egg!" Ryan is odd. But funny. He used the foil from the eggs to make a bicycle-powered nuclear warhead (but of course).
In General Studies we talked about how surreal and creepy most Disney films are, especially the lust song in Hunchback of Notre Dame and most of Dumbo.
And in the afternoon it was the talent show.
Oh, it was faaaabulous. Laura, Alina and Lauren presented it in a Harry (Harriet, of course) Potter-ish manner, and were very good. And there was a whole song about Mr Griffiths, which was so hilarious that I'm glad I have Easter now, so I won't crack up completely next time I see him. Heehee.
So, a good day.

Got my report today. My best yet :) Va!
And nothing much else happened today.
And nothing much else happened today.
Va! Mum says I can dye my hair again :)
But I have tons of homework for half term.
I wore my hat again today... Mel says it's cool. But I don't think it really is. However, it keeps my ears warm, so I like it.

Today I feel short.
Boring lessons today... but fun talking. Lauren's going to be one of the talent show presenters, so that should be cool. And also I voted for headgirls. But I have to vote again tomorrow.

It's nearly the bookshop's second birthday, so Jo's going to give us all books for presents (surprisingly enough). Coolness.
Bought books... went to library for books... that's about it. I think Matthew broke something glasslike just now also.
Too early for much interestingness, ne?

Lisa is in Flanders. Probably eating chips, or looking at vaguely historical things.
I managed to get full marks in the general studies multiple choice thing, bizarrely. In French, though... I had to talk about football. Eh.
Today on the bus we all drew on the windows (with fingers in the condensation, no graffiti - we're all too lovely for that). On one side were such poetic offerings as "Mr Ben is camp", on the other was me trying to explain matrix transformation to Ryan. We are weird. Drat.
The head-girl list was up today. No idea who I'm going to vote for... hmmm.
Friday Five:
1. What's your favorite animal? Bats. They are so cool... and fly around in our garden, yatly.
2. What pets have you had in your lifetime? The only one actually mine was Pip, a grey Netherland Dwarf rabbit. Lisa had Snowdrop the rabbit, Twinky the hamster (aka B.O.S.S.), and several fish (Florida, Amanda, Panda, Orlando (technically mum's), Sludgegulper and Atlanta - only Amanda, Florida and Sludgegulper are alive). Matthew had a hamster called Teddy.
3. Is there any specific pet that you've wanted but never had? Why? Uh.. not really. I'm not much of an animal person. Although an iguana might be fun. 4. Are you allergic to any animals? Not that I'm aware of.
5. Do you have any 'pet' pet peeves (your pets or others')? Dogs of any form are not good. Dogfear.

Well, the taxi-men didn't murder me.
TaxiMan #1: Hi. Why do you play piano?
Me: It's like playing trumpet but doesn't hurt your mouth.
TM1: Job?
Me: Don't have one. 16.
TM1: Oh. Single?
Me: ...yes.
TM1: You have no life. Boring person.
...time passes...
...playing piano...
...taxi #2 doesn't turn up...
Me: (on phone) Hi. Where are you, taxi?
Taxi Man #2: Bentley.
Me: Fool, you are in the wrong place.
TM1: Oh.
...time passes again...
TM1: Sorry, it's raining and I can't see.
Me: Oh.
TM1: Doing anything fun?
Me: Piano lesson.
TM1: My daughter, my father and my sisters also play the piano.
Me: Oh.
TM1: You have a great accent. My wife had a nice accent because she went to public school.
Me: Oh.
TM1: £5, please.
I hate taxis.

Woohoo! I got 83/90 for my physics, and 100% on my general studies! 100% I tell you! Heehee... happy Katy :)
I love the XBox advert with the insects. Funny. Like, 'ooh, insects are musical, jobs are stupid. Oh, and buy an XBox.'
Added the books review to c+. Isn't 'spectra' a great word?

Lisa: So how are you?
Ryan: Leave me alone! I'm not that way inclined!
I love Ryan... he makes me laugh.
I finished reading Five Quarters of the orange... wow. I'm going to review it over at c+ soon. Cool and groovy, ne?
In French I got 37/40! Shock, I actually didn't fail some French dramatically. Yay me :)
Tomorrow the parents are going to London for some thing, so I have to get a taxi to piano-lessons. And back as well. For some reason I think I'm going to be murdered everytime I get in a taxi. Weird.
Head girl elections on Monday... exam results tomorrow... eep. Freaky. Hey, only one more week until half-term as well! It really feels like a Friday today, for some reason. I wish it was, I need a weekend. Sleep is good.
Why am I so tired this week? Tired and moody. I made the brat bleed using only my fingernails the other day (entirely Lisa's fault (or not) ;D - well, I was fighting on her behalf, anyway). Insane teenagerness, eh?
Arg! Someone on tv is playing a kazoo. ::attacks tv:: No kazoos! Ever!
Y!Groups are going to be down for ages. Drat.
Food!

No homework day! Yay! And, Joyce lent me lovely cds. Joy!
Today is Mother's day. Happy Mother's day! And so, obviously, Grandad and Aunty Jean are here. Both of whom are clearly mothers of people in this household. ???
Don't you love going on the internet for hours and hours while not actually doing anything?
Well, I do.
"How many freudian analysts does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Two, one to screw it in and one to hold my penis, I mean ladder."
:)

No Friday Five this week, it's about homesickness and that, and seeing as I haven't left home yet it'd just be boring.
Did I mention my CD came yet? I love Vanilla! It's the best song :)
Qu'est-ce que j'ai fait aujourd'hui? Uh.. in General Studies I knew what an allegory was (ah!). And in the free in the afternoon, I talked to Joyce for aaages about Gackt and lovely other things. Fun!

My sincere apologies for the lack of update yesterday, but my lovely host was moving servers.
So: double update.
Yesterday was Wednesday, yes? (All seems so long ago...) Oh yes. In Further Maths we did more of group theory. I like group theory :). And then in PSE some female gave us a talk on volunteer work. Joy. In Physics, we had a big fight with Mr Bowles about some stupid sheet he'd given us about the photoelectric effect which made no sense. But he gave us a shiny new updated version today with dotted lines and everything :) so it's all happy again.
Ow. Headache.
And in French (all afternoon! Eh!) I had to write some resume thing about mobile phones. Ick, ick. I hate phones, no matter what their mobility.
Today? Um... I spoke to Audrey (in French) about education, and made several sentences that were actually vaguely comprehensible. Did some physics, did some maths.
Oh, in Physics we calculated how big a space you'd have to run through in order to diffract. I want to diffract! Unfortunately, you'd have to run through a 10-34m gap (a quark is about 10-20m)... but I will still try! :)

Stupid internet ::kicks computer::
We're home so early! The bus was insane :) so I am already at home.
The people who were out yesterday were back this morning, but at lunchtime they all left to give their presentations. So I wasn't a total loner (plus Emily and Kathryn returned) all day.
In Physics we were given the paper for a practice exam we'll do on Monday. The actual thing will be worth...
prepare yourself for the monstrosity of the figure...
2.5%! Oh the importance! ::throws it out of window::
In Further Maths we're doing Group Theory. It's really interesting, and also gives me the opportunity to say things like "a blob b" which is very funny.
Don't even ask about French. I am a total noodle when it comes to speaking in another language, and always have been.
Oh, looks like I'm going to talk about it anyway! Ah well. Mrs Bennet asked me a question, I couldn't think of a reply. Not that I didn't understand, or that I hadn't enough vocab to say what I was thinking, but I had nothing further to add to my answer. And now she'll think I'm even more stupid :( Gragh. I hate French lessons!
Yummynoodles again for lunch... mm. And the afternoon maths was just blah.
On the bus, I told Ryan how to do some evil trigonometry (he has a test tomorrow) and that's about all.

Cor blimey, I taste like Tea.I am a subtle flavour, quiet and polite, gentle, almost ambient. My presence in crowds will often go unnoticed. Best not to spill me on your clothes though, I can leave a nasty stain. What Flavour Are You?
Apparently if I wasn't tea, I'd be vanilla ("I am one of the most popular flavours in the world. Subtle and smooth, I go reasonably with anyone, and rarely do anything to offend. I can be expected to be blending in in society.")
Yay! I'm tea!
Bonjour... noone was at school today, except me, Aditi and Megan (well none of the people in my form who I talk to, anyway) - it was Key Skills Day, and also lots of people had frees because some teachers were out. Gragh. But still, I got to eat noodles for lunch (I was so amused by going into the canteen only to get a fork!) and read tons of my book. In Statistics we're doing geometric distribution, about 2 weeks after I needed it for Further Maths homework, but better late than never :) In French we were doing about ecology and other thrilling topics, and in Physics we had a practical. Which I didn't fail miserably, surprisingly enough.
What else... oh, CD guy emailed to say he's posted the CD. I wonder how long post takes from Canada to England? Not too long, I don't think. And it's hardly urgent.
Aww... Kelly just sent me an email to say that I'm in her thoughts. ::warm fuzzies:: :) she's so lovely!

The most stupid-looking word in French is créée (as in 'elle a é'té créée').
Matthew seems to be trying to watch all the tv channels at once.
And today is also the launch of BBC 4, which I (in my digital tv-less state) won't get to watch. Ah well.
For food mum has given me two pizzas in a pile. Hm.
