I finished Catch-22! Yay for me!
Wednesday, February 20, 2002
(1) The singular boring question: What is your name?Katy. Katy Jean Robinson.
(2) If you had been born a member of the opposite sex, what would your name have been?
Stephen. Don't say I haven't told you the whole Stephen thing before? Oh wait, I have. It's in the et ceteras under "Sanctuary: Name".
(3) Would you name a child of yours after you?
Eh... no. That would be far too confusing. You know, there's some boxer guy with about 7 children (several of whom are female) all called George? Weird.
(4) If you had to switch first names with a friend of yours, who would you switch with?
Um... can't I keep my name? I like my name. Oh, okay... Kelly. I like the name Kelly.
(5) What's the way people most often mispronounce any part of your name?
I don't think anyone has ever mispronounced my name. They misspell it, though... Katie, or Katherine. Not my name, at all.
(6) If you were to become famous, would you drop your last name (like Madonna, Cher, Roseanne)?
Um... no. It would confuse people. It's not like my name is particularly rare. Everyone would be like 'Katy who?' all the time.
(7) Do you believe in the traditional view of Heaven and Hell?
No, I don't believe in either. I believe in reincarnation.
(8) Do you think God has a gender?
Ehm... well, I believe in a genderless divinity which is subdivided into deities of each gender. (Good words in there, eh?) Does that answer your question?
(9) Do you think science counteracts religion?
Um... can't think of any examples. Well, each religion has different views, but I can't think of any with my personal beliefs. Science is what the deities use to make things work while they're busy doing something else.
(10) Do you believe in organized religion?
Sure. Some people need organisation in their religion. Some people don't. You need the choice.
(11) Where do you think we go when we die?
I think there's somewhere for you to rest and recuperate for a while, and then you reincarnate. And after a while of reincarnating you become part of the divinity again. Kinda like the Buddhist thing.
(12) Do you feel a little funny thinking about the questions in this section?
No, why? I think about this kind of thing a lot.
(13) How easy is it to make you laugh?
If I'm in a good mood, quite easy. If I'm hyper or caffeinated, it's near impossible to stop me. If I'm angry/depressed, I don't laugh, except self-deprecatingly.
(14) What person you know makes you laugh the most?
Chriss.
(15) Do you laugh at jokes you know you shouldn't?
If they're funny. But I feel guilty afterwards.
(16) Do you tell jokes you know you shouldn't?
No.
(17) What words instantly make you laugh or at least smile? Lisa saying 'Goddamn you!' (although that's more her tone of voice), anything that reminds me of RD, ship, spoon, aardvark.
(18) What do you think is the funniest thing you've ever said or written?
Oh, gosh, I don't know. Ask someone else. I don't think I'm that funny, but other people seem to. Lisa says "Probably 'ih!' or something."
(19) Do you ever dance to music when nobody's watching?
No. Katy does not do the dancing.
(20) What is/are the worst song(s) you have ever heard?
Don't know... I hate most music. Probably one with huge grammatical errors, that aways annoys me.
(21) What song(s) do you wish you could understand a little better?
Um... Hey Mr. Sunshine.
(22) What song(s) are constantly in your head?
the Rimmer song, any of the songs from any of the Muppet movies. And jingles from adverts.
(23) What song(s) do you think describe your personality best?
Uh... ?? I don't know.
(24) If you were to serenade the object of your affections, which song(s) would you use?
One that was all on one note. I can't sing.
(25) If the object of your affections were to serenade you, what song(s) would you hope he or she used?
I don't know. It depends how good they are at singing. One that involved how brilliant I am.
(26) What movie(s) do you love that nobody else seems to?
The Breakfast Club, The Dark Crystal
(27) Do you agree with the idea that sequels are always worse than the original?
Mostly, yeah. Have you noticed the vast and huge number of sequels that Disney are churning out recently?

Um... ObiWan. (I'm so original)
(29) What kind of movie do you think there should be more of?
Comedy. I love comedy.
(30) What movie(s) do you simply not understand the appeal of?
Weird psychological thrillers that really aren't scary.
(31) When eating, are you more concerned with taste or healthiness?
Taste. But most really unhealthy things, I don't like anyway.
(32) What's your favorite kind of cheese?
Stilton.
(33) What do you think your answer to the previous question reveals about your personality?
Ummm.... that I like Stilton?
(34) If you knew exactly what went into Chinese food, hamburger meat, etc., would you still eat it?
I don't know. It depends what does go into them. If it was something gross, probably not.
(35) Do you ever feel guilty eating meat?
Sometimes.
(36) Mac or PC?
PC
(37) How much do you actually care about the inner workings of your computer, as long as it works?
Only when it's brook.
(38) Do you ever begin preferring IMs to other forms of conversation?
Yes. But I have more Internet friends than RL friends, so that kind of makes sense, really. Oh, and I hate phones. IMing is definitely better than phoning.
(39) Do you find you're different talking through IMs than face-to-face or on the telephone?
Um... I tend to pause longer between sentences on IMs. And actually say things, unlike on the phone when I just say 'yes' 'no' and hang up ASAP.
(40) Have you ever ended bid on something on eBay and regretted it later?
No, because I have to get my parents permission.
(41) Have you ever wished you could experience being the other gender?

My brother.
(44) What do you understand least about the other gender?
The apparent obsession with violence.
(45) Do you sometimes see a movie or watch a show just because a good-looking celebrity is in it?
No. ...ah wait, Tomb Raider. Yes.
(46) What celebrity's autograph do you want most?
Autographs do not excite me.
(47) Have people ever said you looked like a celebrity, and if so, who?
Ryan said I looked like the Queen, does that count?
(48) If there was to be a movie about you, who do you think should play you (in personality, looks or both)?
Why would someone make I movie about me? What have I done? They could get a chair, noone would notice.
(49) Does it ever annoy you when you know someone is a celebrity but you can't remember why?
Yes. Or when they're famous for one thing then try to do something else (like Sophie Ellis Bextor, who I hate)
(50) If you could enter any celebrity's mind like in "Being John Malkovich", whose would you enter?
I don't know. Noone's, really.
(51) Do you want to be John Malkovich?
No. Who?
(52) Do you laugh when you hear or read the number 69?
Depends on context. If it's in a joke, perhaps.
(53) Were you lying about your answer to the previous question?
No.
(54) Do you actually know your Social Security Number?
I don't have one. So, no.
(55) Do you actually know your IP address?
No.

"And we love pi...." It's just a number.
(61) Love and Sex: Did you get a little frightened or uncomfortable seeing this as a section title?
No...
(62) If someone you had no interest in dating expressed interest in dating you, how would you feel?
Um... don't know. Apprehensive.
(63) Do you prefer getting to know someone first before dating them or going in "blind"?
Yes, please.
(64) Could you carry on a relationship with someone with the same first name as a family member?
Good question. It might be confusing... probably, though.
(65) Have you ever wished it was more "socially acceptable" for a girl to ask a guy out?
It isn't?
(66) What's your opinion on sex without emotional commitment?
If you both want to, sure. Nothing to do with me whether people have sex or not, is it?
(67) Have you ever been romantically attracted to someone physically unattractive?
Uh... no?
(68) Do you think the opposite sex finds you good-looking?
No. I look like the Queen, I told you.
(69) Would you be willing to give up sex in exchange for an emotional commitment you knew would last?
Um... I don't know.
(70) Do you think the number of the last question was a coincidence?
No. I think you are just odd.

(75) How long did it take you to understand why the last question is in this section?
About a millisecond. And it wasn't funny.

Yes. I hate it and attack people for it.
(77) How old do you think you will be before you stop liking getting older?
I don't know... 25?
(78) What was the best Halloween costume you ever had?
I never had one.
(79) What was the worst Halloween costume you ever had?
I never had one, I said. My parents don't let us, and I anyway, I don't want to.
(80) What holiday do you think has still managed to retain its original meaning?
Uh... none of them, that I know of.
(81) There are currently no federal holidays during August- what should be put there?
National Icecream Day
(82) How good is your short-term memory?
What was the question? Well, I can remember long enough to pass a vocab test.
(83) How good is your long-term memory?
Awful.
(84) What is your earliest memory?
Being driven to nursery.
(85) What is your happiest memory?

(86) What is your strangest memory?
Eh... like I said, no long-term memory.
(87) What song, movie, etc. do you wish you could memorize?

I Am A: Lawful Good Half-Elf Bard Cleric
Alignment:
Lawful Good characters are the epitome of all that is just and good. They believe in order and governments that work for the benefit of all, and generally do not mind doing direct work to further their beliefs.
Race:
Half-Elves are a cross between a human and an elf. They are smaller, like their elven ancestors, but have a much shorter lifespan. They are sometimes looked down upon as half-breeds, but this is rare. They have both the curious drive of humans and the patience of elves.
Primary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.
Secondary Class:
Clerics are the voices of their God/desses on Earth. They perform the work of their deity, but this doesn't mean that they preach to a congregation all their lives. If their deity needs something done, they will do it, and can call upon that deity's power to accomplish their goals.

I would like to profess my love for the French word 'internaute'. My dictionary would like to say 'unpronounceable'. But it can't, because it doesn't know how to say it. Ha.

Well! That was a fabulous film. We like.I haven't seen Ruth for ages... since we saw Harry Potter, I think! Years and years... well, last year.
Oh it was so cute! (Monsters, Inc. that is) I loved it... oh, the monsters and the doors... ahh. We like a lot :)
Didn't you just want to hug Sulley? (?sp) The cuteness... ahh. And the bird thing at the beginning was hilarious.
I've never heard so many crying children as when it ended! Man, they were loud, ne? Ee... it's been out for about 2 weeks, and still it was totally jampacked. Amazing... ooh, and Ruth bought me hot chocolate :) We liiiiiike hot chocolate.
Oh hey! Ruth's going to India for 3 weeks, to some impronouncable (unpronouncable?) place. How cool is that? Very, I hear you cry? Why, yes, you're right.
I'm in a most odd mood, ne? Never mind.

Right. New plan.We are having two blog-type sites... this one, with blog-type stuff on, and the other one, with everything else (book reviews, writings, etc. etc.) on it. This means no pictures, as everywhere shouts at you if you use it just for storage. But I don't really care about having pictures. So: click here for all other content (once it's actually up, of course).
Tuesday, February 19, 2002
Okay, I'm going offline to do this. Hopefully you'll get at least some of it by tomorrow!
