Tuesday, November 20, 2001 -- 04:47 p.m.
Good day.
NTS: Get disc for Joyce today. Do not forget.
Hmm. Noone from my buddy list is alive today... oh, Laurie's on! Hi Laurie!
I wrote my Christmas card list and did Laura L's homework while being molested by Florence for my obscene catgirls, on the bus. That was fairly amusing.
(backwards chronology)
Meera sat with me and Gemma in maths because she didn't want to be alone, and we did boring boring trig stuff, ek. And I talked to Gemma about how I murdered the cc machine at work, and she did radiator hugging.
At lunch me, Caroline and Mel talked about music, and I did my FM homework, which was actually quite easy once I worked out what the hell it was on about. I'm not even going to attempt the programming stuff, it's so impossible.
Assembly was bizarre. Mrs Bennett let us out of French early, and I sat on the radiator with Margarethe and Antoinette because there were no spaces. There was an extract from the school play, Kareoke King Lear. It looked very strange, but mildly hilarious.
In French I was a complete fool as usual. The following conversation, Mrs Bennet spoke in French but I can only remember the translation, not the words she used. So it's approximated. (And my grammar is always wrong, so...)
Mrs Bennet: Katy, tu prefere porter l'uniforme scolaire ou ton propre vetements? (Katy, do you prefer to wear a school uniform or your own clothes?)
...long pause on my behalf... Mrs Bennet: Tu es pour ou contre l'uniforme? (Are you for or against uniforms?)
Me: I don't really care. (Yes, in English).
Well, I don't. It's all the same to me, and as far as I can tell everyone chooses to wear practically the same as each other anyway, so what's the difference?
Although perhaps I should have attempted to say that in French.
In FMaths, Anna was away so me and Joyce were all by our little selves. We did linear progging, again, which I think I'm starting to get the hang of, and also the evil prime number thing. Before/After/During the lesson, we talked about Final Fantasy. Joyce is stuck on disc 1 of FFIX, because her version is a Japanese pirate from Hong Kong (great mental picture), so I'm lending it to her since I'm on Disc 3. Ha, I played for 3 hours straight on Sunday to avoid doing homework. How lame am I?
...don't answer that :)
Physics was okay, Mr Metcalfe was teaching two lessons so he was sprinting up and down the stairs all day, so we just did exercises, pretty easy stuff really.

Monday, November 19, 2001 -- 05:10 p.m.
Arg, I've been jollied to death... they were called Dynamix, and wore tops with 'serious fun' on, and name tags. But I survived, miraculously.

Sunday, November 18, 2001 -- 02:05 p.m.
Added some more links (look down).
Updated auspice (look up).

"Facts are meaningless! You can use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true!" - Isn't the Simpsons great?

Sunday, November 18, 2001 -- 12:49 p.m.
Dear Katy, you do way too many of these tests, it's getting silly.

Take the Affliction Test Today!
Word of the day is 'festoon'.
And don't you just love Jim's Photoshop Tennis games? He's a real pro.

Oh dear, oh dear.
Far from being a world destroying DeathKiddy, you appear to enjoy kittens, bunnies and boybands.
Not a cloud enters your sky and all is sweetness and light for you.
Fucker.

Take the DeathKiddy Test!

Saturday, November 17, 2001 -- 03:16 p.m.
The hairdresser amputated my fringe, and I look like a dandelion :(
Hopefully it will calm down by tomorrow!
Work was not hugely succesful, as I broke the credit card machine. Oops. It wasn't really my fault (I am assured): I put the card in, it turned off, I turned it on again and it spewed error messages for ages. Ah well!

Friday, November 16, 2001 -- 05:25 p.m.
Life is good... all the way home, we sang the RHPS song. I love...
Oh, and ate watercress. Of course.

Tuesday, November 13, 2001 -- 05:01 p.m.

Tuesday, November 13, 2001 -- 04:50 p.m.
So yesterday, Matthew gave me the top 5 reasons why he hates me. It was going to be 10, but I'm so great he couldn't think of enough.
So on the bus me and Lisa wrote his top 40.
I love being petty.

Monday, November 12, 2001 -- 04:49 p.m.
So on the bus today me and Sam made lists of who to kill and who to make ministers when he rules the world.
Who's Who:
Lord Grand High Master Sam Belcher, Unquestioned Dominator of Absolutely Everything (Except Ceddies Coaches)
Cool Minister Katy Jean Robinson
Minister for Leprechauns - Lisa Jane Robinson
Minister of Crap - Edward CB
Stilts Minister - Adam Williams
Lucie Ellis: Minister for Bossing her Brother Around and Beautifullness
Rhiannon Bull: Dragons Secretary
Peter Howes: Minister of Invisibleness

Saturday, November 10, 2001 -- 05:01 p.m.
Matthew just called me a dried tomato. The other day he called Lisa a girl.
I think he's running low on insults.

Please Mr. Sunshine kimi no egao ga/I'm like a moonlight watashi wo terasu ... how I love music that I can't understand the words of.

NB: I know I keep writing really boring insults, so my new resolution is only to write things when I can think of something to write. Fairly obvious, you'd think, ne?
Oh, and I updated auspice a while ago, don't think I mentioned that... sorry.

Saturday, November 10, 2001 -- 03:48 p.m.
I love my shop... everyone in Colchester, come to my shop and buy things!
Except the mad guy, he scares me.

Saturday, November 10, 2001 -- 03:48 p.m.
I love my shop... everyone in Colchester, come to my shop and buy things!
Except the mad guy, he scares me.

Friday, November 9, 2001 -- 05:11 p.m.
So today I decorated my folder, and did very little else. C'est le weekend, yaya!
Anyway, at our school, there's a memorial garden. It's for remembering all the people who've died, who were pupils at this school (Becky, for example). However, this totally insane girl who happens to be in Lucie's form has decided that Anne Frank deserves to be there too.
Fair enough, she's famous and died horribly, but she's not in anyway associated with our school! It's madness.

Wednesday, November 7, 2001 -- 05:40 p.m.
Woohoo! My email is re-alive!
I got my report today... lalala. It was good, and I got an Outstanding for FMaths. La.
Just now my mum said "La, as Katy would say." hehe...
The bus was full of us lovely purplers (and also Rochineless), and we talked about incest and bondage all the way home in loud voices. I love that, it's so entertaining. And I wasn't even caffeinated.

(colorgenics.com)
You are very ambitious... and because you seek and need recognition - you try in your own way to impress people and you want to be looked up to... To be both popular and admired, you feel that there is a gap which separates you from your fellow man.. or woman, as the case may be ... but this anxiety is an unnecessary one. Keep on the way you are going ... and you may surprise yourself ...
(well, maybe)
Being a likeable person .. you get in well with neighbours and friends. You don't need anything to "Rock your boat". You want to "love" and to be loved".
(uhm... s'pose so...)
You are feeling under considerable pressure and you are being forced to make concessions. You are not particularly happy with this state of affairs but you feel that you have no alternative. If you were to force issues you would be left out or completely ignored by one and all ... (what?)
Whatever has caused the situation...you just don't seem to be able to sustain or maintain relationships as you would wish to. What you really seek is to be able to develop a relationship with someone with whom you can truly share: Love, Serenity, Peace and Quiet. But you are a very demanding person and it is your nature that leads to disquiet and discord...you are like the tide,.. flotsam and jetsam...One minute you experience "highs" and a few moments later "lows". This obviously will introduce discord into any relationship and it is the demanding attitude, the ideal state you desire, is unable to develop. Despite the urge to gratify your natural desires, you impose a considerable self-restraint on your instincts in the belief that this demonstrates your superiority and raises you above the common herd. You are extremely critical of everything that is presently going on around you...and you find it difficult to listen to, or to take advice from anyone. You enjoy the original, the ingenious and the subtle, and you strive to ally yourself with others of similar tastes.
(eh? are you on drugs or summat?)
You need to be respected as an exceptional individual. This is the only way that you can hope to achieve the status that you wish to achieve. You set yourself very high standards ... and come what may ... you abide by them.
(yeah, whatever)

Tuesday, November 6, 2001 -- 04:47 p.m.
Urgh... Stephen is sick, I hate him. And I have too much homework.

Saturday, November 3, 2001 -- 05:29 p.m.
Nearly a perfect day... Got up at 7.30 (practically a lie-in), had tea and creamcheese with chives on toast, walked to the Knights's and Michael gave me and Katie lifts to work. At work Mel came and saw me for a bit, Louis put 'the ugly duckling' on instead of background music, which was hilarious, I completely failed to open carrier bags and had to get Louis to do it, which was funny, I put books on the shelves, talked to Jo (I love Jo), learned to price, got to use the price gun which was so fun... Then at like 1.17 (two minutes after I should leave) Louis phoned us in the offic-y bit to say 'my friends' were here. It was Lisa, Amy and Chad.
Oh, and I bought 'Animal Farm'.
We went to MacDo's and bought food (except Amy, duh), and ate in Castle Park. Lisa and Chad threw coke/icecream at each other, which was hilarious, Amy showed me her toothfairy, then we went to the cinema. Amy and Chad saw Jeepers Creepers, which apparently was good but sounds like I would've hated it, I hate scary films, and me and Lisa saw Legally Blonde. It was hilarious, I loved it. Highly rec'd.
Oh yeah, Lisa bought that Mull Historical Society CD, we're hearing it now.
Then we went home, Gemma and Helen were on the bus being odd, and soon we're going to ACP Bonfire Night (how I love them, mm, school hotdogs). And and, R+H is on tonight, and I have stuff on tape to watch (DCS), yayay! So, today has basically been great.
Near-perfect minutes, ha. (Morbid Hazellishness: there's never a perfect minute, you know it won't last and that in itself ruins the perfection.)
Random wondering-ment: How come in French and German, the perfect tense has two parts and the imperfect has one, but in English it's the other way around?

Friday, November 2, 2001 -- 05:21 p.m.
So today we got told that next Thursday there's a French play we have to see. That ruins my free.
Ah well... I hope they don't make us sing again.
Did my first work in the careers room, met the infamous Rochine and Daisy (ek ek), found out I didn't do so awfully in the test, discovered I can't do matrices...

Thursday, November 1, 2001 -- 07:36 p.m.
Mr Schiachettano (looking at my Smeg Head necklace-y thing): What does that say?
Me: Smeg Head. It's a Red Dwarf thing.
Mr S: Is he the one with the H?
hehehe

Thursday, November 1, 2001 -- 02:17 p.m.
arg... completely failed that maths test... I'm stupid :(

Wednesday, October 31, 2001 -- 08:17 p.m.
Happy Samhain, and happy Alice's birthday (we had a picnic at lunchtime, fun fun). And also I went to see America's Sweethearts with Ruth, which was fairly funny.
And I got my Authenik.
Lalala...

Tuesday, October 30, 2001 -- 07:54 p.m.
"Je voudrais huit dictionnaires," "Hope noone has a gluten allergy!" haha

Monday, October 29, 2001 -- 04:47 p.m.

Sunday, October 28, 2001 -- 02:50 p.m.
(Typed left-handed due to repetitive starin injury, arg arg, excuse the typos)
Back from the holiday, lalala... not much interesting stuff happened, I bought The Last Hero, got rained on, revised... at the cousins' I beat dad at bowling (and I won once!)...
Yesterday, I got trapped in the playroom and had to climb out of the window.

Saturday, October 27, 2001 -- 10:02 p.m.
I'm back, I'm back! Did you miss me lots?
Interesting entry later, I'm tired.

Friday, October 19, 2001 -- 12:32 p.m.
Okay, and while I remember, the plan for half term.
Today, the plan is: go to Kathryn's party.
The rest of half term, the plan is: go to the Forest of Dean for family bonding/caravanning/going to see the cousins.
Feh.

Thursday, October 18, 2001 -- 10:43 p.m.
Today was: the last day of term! The plan was, school in the morning, lunch and buying Kathryn's present in town, then going home, dossing around for a bit, getting a bus to school for the open evening, and another one home.
What actually happened, you ask? How dare you assume my planning skills aren't perfect. Ha.
School in the morning, which involved very little work, always good. There's builders in our formroom for reasons unknown to me, so when I was supposed to have Physics in there for 3&4, we couldn't. I looked in the morning, and a sign said L6 (that's us) 3&4 -> G19. So at 10.15ish, I went to G19, as did Jo and Emily. And we sat there for 15 minutes. Nothing. So I went looking for them - Bob told me they had been in G33 all along, and so I went to get Jo and Emily. On the way we noticed that the sign had been changed since we'd seen it. Ah well. The rest of lessons were fairly uneventful. So then, in my frees, I went in to town, had lunch, was accosted by some survey-man, bought a Big Issue, bought dinner and Kathryn's present, phoned home to say I wasn't coming back (noone was there, though) and went back to school. Then I did homework until clearing, and then helped to set up the Chemistry labs for the open evening (read: spilled toxic chemicals everywhere). Me, Alice, Mel and Lauren, and vaguely Megan as well, hung around doing homework and stuff until about 6, then went and ate in the common room. And I had a lovely conversation with Hannah, who is very lovely. Then at about 6.55 I went to the maths room (G7, if you care) and Mr Griffiths got me a nametag, and showed me how to do a Julia set on a graphical calculator (whatever that may be). Mainly it was me, Mrs Allen, Mr Griffiths, Miss Maltwood, Mrs Norman, and sometimes Lucy Friar in there, and we told everyone how lovely maths was. Some creepy guy asked me about universities and told me about some girl who was in his maths class (why?), but mainly it was fun. And Mrs Allen said Lisa was very clever. And they were very nice to me and didn't treat me like I was about 4. Then I sat around for a while, and Mel's dad took me home, and he told me that e=mc2 isn't true. When I got home, noone was in and I was keyless so I had to go wake up the glads for a key (I love you, thanks! Sorry for waking you up!) - mum went to the football with dad and Matthew, and Lisa's sleepovering.
And tomorrow is a day of party, lala.

Wednesday, October 17, 2001 -- 06:07 p.m.
I got a new graphical calculator! It's so fun, it draws and everything.
And Matthew has gone out. What could be better?

Tuesday, October 16, 2001 -- 05:00 p.m.
Hey, so I wore my new trousers today. And nearly fell down the stairs.
The price of fashion, eh? <g>

Monday, October 15, 2001 -- 08:06 p.m.
I did no work today, I guess the teachers were feeling just as lazy as me. But Matthew is seriously in danger of being murdered soon.
He is not going to survive family bonding week.

Sunday, October 14, 2001 -- 07:03 p.m.
Lisa: What shall I use to scoop the ice cream?
Dad: Well, I wouldn't use a frog.

Saturday, October 13, 2001 -- 03:42 p.m.
Hey! I just got back from my first day at the shop, it was so fun, I loved it! Jo, manager-type, used to go to my school so knows all about it's evilness, and Louis is from Hong Kong and is doing Robotics at the uni, and they're both lovely.
And I only made the till go "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh" twice, yay me.
And then I went shopping and bought the coolest trousers in the history of ever ever. Lalala.

Friday, October 12, 2001 -- 05:02 p.m.
It's Friday! Woohoo! I am so hyper, and I don't know why! Maybe, because I had 3 maths lessons. Maybe not, who cares? Anyway, I'm really happy today, lalala!
My Ninja Name is apparently Daisuke Kosugi -san. I wonder why. Get yours here.
So, next week I'll miss my piano lesson, because it's Year 11 Open Day and I have to go and be enthusiastic about Further Maths at people. Fun fun.
The plan for tomorrow: Go to work. Go and buy Kathryn a present. Go shopping for trousers.

Thursday, October 11, 2001 -- 09:51 p.m.
Bad, bad Katy, not updating. Well, I tried to update yesterday, but the computer ate it. It's not my fault, honestly!
Yesterday was the GCSE Certificate Evening, and Ruth was there! Actually, I just phoned her, and we are cinema-ing again soon. 38 minutes of phonecall, and I didn't die. This is amazing.
And so I have a certificate. And I didn't fall up the stairs, miss Mrs Wards hand, drop my certificate, fall down the stairs or trip over Karen, even more shocking.
Um... today? Well, I had my interview at the Oxfam place, I start on Saturday. I think it will be fun, as long as I don't do my insane panicking thing.
At school I had my first thing with Audrey, the French assistant. We had to talk about the differences between France and England. Hannah, who is good at French unlike yours truly, talked about how the South of France is more polluted because of the heat. I talked about how French people hate Marmite. Ah well.
And Physics, well. Mr Bowles was talking about pressure, and did the example of how barefoot people make less pressure than people in stilettos. And then went on for some time about stilettos not having been in fashion for a while, and how he once wore high heels in a Miss World competition. Not something you want as a mental picture.
And I think that is mostly it.

Wednesday, October 10, 2001 -- 05:21 p.m.
Plan for tonight's GCSE Certificate Evening:
> Sit in the right seat.
> Line up when they tell me to.
> Wait for my name to be called out. Not anyone else's name. Mine.
> Do not fall up the stairs.
> Remember to take certificate and shake hands (the right hand, the right one) with Mrs Ward.
> Do not: drop certificate, fall down stairs, look at feet, jump off last step, sit down in wrong seat.
> Make polite conversation with teachers who've forgotten who I am.

Hehe, someone's writing another Discworld quiz book. Called 'the Wyrdest Link.' Hehe.
Random school-happening: We did the bubble thing at lunchtime, and I got it to work, finally, thanks to Aditi. Also, Physics was odd... we were randomly in the drama hut, and spent the entire lesson going throught the homework sheets (except about 10 minutes, spent talking about drawing pins, or some such) - which I hadn't given in, so mine were on his desk, so I doodled.
And, Shelley was on the bus today, we had a rambly conversation.

Tuesday, October 9, 2001 -- 05:00 p.m.
Mr Griffiths was in some random meeting, or teacher-training, or something, and so I had what Caroline chose to call an 'impromptu free'.
And it didn't rain today! Lalalala! And and, I got 61/70 on my algebra test.
I must learn to factorise, apparently.
In French, we're learning how to take LSD and why you should eat horsemeat. Does anyone else find that weird?
How odd, I appear to have emailed myself. Off to investigate...

Monday, October 8, 2001 -- 07:54 p.m.
Quotee of the day, Mr Metcalfe (Physics teacher):
"Electric fieeeld!! I don't know why I did that, I just felt like it."
"Moments! 'Magic...' ...oh, suit yourselves."
"I'll see you outside, in ten plus twenty seconds."
"I'll meet you in ten minutes - to the left."
"Alright, now imagine it's a donkey."
"For those of you fearsome of spiders, just think of it as a fly with very long legs. So, this fly with really long legs ran along a drawing board. I don't know why, perhaps an old lady was chasing it."
Have I ever mentiond how much I hate trig? Well, I do.

Saturday, October 6, 2001 -- 02:56 p.m.
I hate and despise my brother, the solitaire playing freak. Anyway, tomorrow, in the field behind my house, will be: The East of England Conker Championships. I'm laughing already.

Friday, October 5, 2001 -- 05:21 p.m.
Sorry! I've been neglecting you, lovely net-people! I still love you! Mwa!
Heehee.. hyper...
Anyway, today was Jeans for Genes day (or maybe it's Genes for Jeans day? I can't remember.) and Lisa has given me pink hairspray. Which doesn't clash even slightly with my blue, nono.
Alice reckons I was exposed to too much testosterone in the womb. Interesting.

Tuesday, October 2, 2001 -- 05:08 p.m.
I'm sooo ill...

Monday, October 1, 2001 -- 06:32 p.m.
So in Physics, when Sam came in she said 'Aloha' and Mr Metcalfe spent the rest of the lesson trying to work out whether that meant hello or goodbye.
Wow. So, you know how I taped Randall and Hopkirk? The tape died - well, the sound did. So when Lisa watched it today, I had to lipread/recite from memory the whole way through. Fun, in a bizarre way.

Sunday, September 30, 2001 -- 06:40 p.m.
(written yesterday evening)
Today, the sunset was something special. The sky at the horizon was clear, but above my head it was almost completely cloud-covered. The reflected light seemed to make the clouds glow so intensely, that inside our house it looked brighter than it had all day.
The light was an eerie shade of yellow, a colour which it would be impossible to capture on film or with paints of any sort. But beneath the yellow you could just make out the grey of the clouds, not mixing to dull the yellowness but faintly visible behind it. The occasional breaks in the clouds revealing patches of sky blue provided such a contrast that they almost looked like after images.
A few minutes later, the sun set, and it was gone.

Sunday, September 30, 2001 -- 06:34 p.m.
Arg, the net-friends are fighting. Madness. Anyway, today is the last day of the first month of our being-paid-to-do-work-without-being-asked thing. I have got £7, which is the most if you don't count the fact that Lisa took some of hers already. Matthew got £2.75, ha.
Yesterday was Lisa's birthday party, with many of her chummies from school, and Amy. Dad made me explain selpins to him, because they mentioned them loudly. It also meant that I had Chinese takeaway for dinner yesterday and for brunch today. Yum yum.
And tomorrow is Monday. Bleh.
Did you see Randall and Hopkirk? I just watched it (we taped it, because we got caught up in Who Wants To Be a Millionaire) and oh my god it was brilliant. Maybe just because I am completely in love with both of them. Ah well. Apparently Adam's in one of the episodes soon, eep eep! For all you people who didn't see it, a quote:
"It's not 1951, you don't wear a hat, and that's not Jeannie in there!"
It doesn't make much sense even if you saw it.
And one from Greg Proops, from I Love 1992 (I think it was 1992, I'm not sure):
"Rain on your wedding day is not ironic, unless you're a weatherman and you've predicted good weather for your own wedding day. I'm American, and even I know this."

Saturday, September 29, 2001 -- 03:36 a.m.
I'm online chatting with Dervla, Alexia and Poet, and they won't let me go to bed! It's half past 3 in the frelling morning!

Friday, September 28, 2001 -- 09:03 p.m.
My brother is deranged. He told Poet he loved her. Weeeird.

Thursday, September 27, 2001 -- 09:00 p.m.
Hiya darlings! Wow, what a great day. Physics was insane as usual, and Mrs Norman wasn't here so I was home before 12, and spent all afternoon talking to Dervla on AIM! I loved it, it was excellent.
Ipswich beat Torpedo Moscow, too. Apparently this is good.

Wednesday, September 26, 2001 -- 09:54 p.m.
Boring day... but: me with blue hair!

Tuesday, September 25, 2001 -- 09:25 p.m.
Mmm, birthday cake...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!!

I love the purplepeople, they gave Lisa a bucket with a bunch of carrots, 2 swedes and a parsnip in it.

Tuesday, September 25, 2001 -- 08:06 p.m.
I just went to see A.I with Ruth. It was soooo fun.... oops, spoiler-ing not good. Stop now.

Sunday, September 23, 2001 -- 06:58 p.m.
What a marvellous holiday, I was only called fat about 8 times. Record.
Anyway, it was nice to see Katie and Leila, etc. and when I got back I had a parcel from gorgeous Brian.

Friday, September 21, 2001 -- 04:56 p.m.
Today was the best day in a long while. Maybe just because I was hyper, but I had so much fun. Thanks for a great day!
It's the Autumn Equinox. Coincedence? I think not.
So first of all I had maths, which was just maths. Gemma is actually 18, which I didn't know, which explains why she's so good at maths (she's done most of this bit before). How come Maths is harder than F Maths? Maybe just because I hate quads.
General studies was a video about IVF and a discussion about GM food. (Having opinions is such hard work... :P) and then French was pretty random, I was talking to Kathryn about my mad hermit-lady plans and how excellent ducks are. As she so wisely said, they can swim, they can fly and they go 'quack'.
Ahaha.... Ant McPartlin is dressed as a maid, hehe. I dreamed I stole PJ and Duncan's coats and sold one of them for £68 and turned the other one inside out. Weird, I've never dreamt about them before. Odd. Anyway...
At lunch the Medsoc-ers were having a gynaecology meeting in our form-room, and so I ate with Alice, Mel, Kathryn and Emily in the 'bistro' (!). We had a long, rambly, bizarre conversation about geography, Mrs Dent, my purple ribbons, etc. Oh yeah, I have a purple stripy jumper, purple trousers (yellow socks, ih!) and purple ribbons tied round my head, I look gorgeous.
Alice and Mel are staying after school to waitress for the PDJames thing, so they bought food to eat later. We're allowed food in the common room, but not in the corridor between the canteen and the common room, so we smuggled them in inside our clothes, which was quite hilarious. Also, Mrs Hill (? I think) and Mrs Hatwell both told me I looked lovely. Told you :).
Then I had half a free, where I showed Joyce how to do our icky algorithm homework. And then, further maths! We're doing nodes, which I did in year 6 (weird, I did nodes and functional notation in year 6, which noone else in the world did).
On the first bus was me, Lucie, Rhiannon, Michella and Lisa, which was jolly, and I was hyper at them. We got to Head St really early and Adam, Matthew P, Laura L, Florence and Sam B got the bus.
We played Scabby Queen! We haven't played that for years, it was gorgeous, and my darling Matthew had cards and noone horrible was there, so we did! It rocked! And I didn't lose, either.
And and, Sam Gillard was on the bus! I haven't seen her in sooooo long, it was fantastic! She already thought I was insane, so that didn't matter. Her sister's going to Oxford, scary, ne?
And Dervy wrote me a fic, and the Glads are coming over tonight, and we're going to Newbourne tomorrow (which I'm pretending is a good thing to continue this hyperness).

Thursday, September 20, 2001 -- 02:26 p.m.
I'm home due to frees, Lisa's home cause she's ill. So, la.
I was so disorganised today - I forgot my Maths book, and I forgot Anna had my Further Maths book. Ah well.
Mr Bowles was his usual mad self, explaining the same thing seventeen times. I understood the first time, but it was the other 6 that had me confuzzled.

Wednesday, September 19, 2001 -- 05:16 p.m.
I love how, every time I send an email from another, it says:

CONGRATULATIONS!

Wednesday, September 19, 2001 -- 04:56 p.m.
Sorry for yesterday's lack of entry, but I was banned from the computer until I'd tidied up (still haven't, but eh ^_^). So today 4 people said my hair was good (well, Matthew P actually said 'you look stunning in blue', hehe). And I learned how to convert numbers to binary and back, useful-ness ahoy. (Good phrase, ne?).
And in PSE we discovered that we are all going to have to live of 1p a day at uni, bleh.
And I discovered that having 21 people living in my head is not normal. Lisa said so, and Laura L also. Is not multiple personalities, cause they aren't me, they're them. I wonder what it is? Just madness, ne?

Monday, September 17, 2001 -- 05:36 p.m.
"When you're my age, you'll worry about your petunias too." The wisdom of Mr Metcalfe.
Anyways, everyone who's opinion matters likes my hair, joy. And nothing particularly thrilling has happened, or maybe it has but I was too asleep to notice. Zzz...
Oh yeah, my RD book came!

Sunday, September 16, 2001 -- 10:10 a.m.
Claline is here, yaya! And I am up really early for a Sunday (Pigeons, eh). Anyway, so yesterday I went shopping with mum, Lisa and Amy (and Matthew went to Rollerworld with new chummies). I bought :Lisa's birthday present:, a blue celtic-y top, a purple stripy top, and a Michelin man coat (it's big and puffy).
Anyway.

Saturday, September 15, 2001 -- 12:55 p.m.
I have blue hair! It's fantastic.

Friday, September 14, 2001 -- 06:13 p.m.
3 minutes of chimes during our 3 minutes of silence from respect. Anyway, school. Maths, blah blah, General Studies. Wherein I had to decide if I agreed with IVF or cloning. Then French (je ne voudrais pas marier), then at lunch I was chucked out from the form room for Medsoc (which was Fiona Isherwood talking). Then in Further Maths we did random equation-y things. You know, I'm really not in a diary-ish place.
After school, I bought earrings and bilberry hair dye.

Thursday, September 13, 2001 -- 03:43 p.m.
Oh, the strain of having two whole lessons... :P
Physics was more of Mr Bowles's bizarreness, amplified by the fact that Katherine decided to sit in for no reason and irritate him with obscene jokes. Nine, by the way... worl record of lowness. He was going on about party tricks. They were most odd.
Then was photos, then maths. In my photo I expect I look demented, as usual, and maths was just more coordinate-y stuff.
Then at lunch we had to go and eat in the bistro (!) with various teachers. I actually said some things instead of hiding. shock!
Then I went home, on the way I went to the bank, went to buy purple ribbons, went to a shop, and saw the Big Issue man (who I love, still). It's the Big Issue's 10th birthday. Joy.
When I got home I hoovered (I broke the hoover! With a sock! Oops...) Ah well.

Wednesday, September 12, 2001 -- 07:26 p.m.
"In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb. The third big war will begin when the big city is burning."
-- Nostradamus (thanks, Dad)

Wednesday, September 12, 2001 -- 05:11 p.m.
I forgot to say yesterday: We were in G32 for maths, which is teeny, so we were in the graphics hut (with swivelly chairs) instead. We were also in G32 for French today, so some people sat on the floor.
Anyway, today. I had Further Maths, which was Discrete Maths. I was having visions of disreet maths all day. But it was very weird.
Then was PSE, in which we did absolutely nothing, which was great. Then Physics. Lisa had Mr Bowles the lesson before and counted 91 earflicks - with my lesson it was only 28.
Mr Bowles: You are evil.
Me: No, I'm lovely really.
Mr Bowles: Of course you are.
Anyway, in Physics we were finding the centre of gravity of Essex (???) - Fuller Street.
Then I had French all afternoon... I have to learn about seventeen million irregular verbs. Bleh.
Anyway, la!

Tuesday, September 11, 2001 -- 05:59 p.m.
Oh my goodness, have you heard about the terrorists? What am I saying, of course you have. Madness! What I know so far:
The World Trade Center has collapsed after 2 planes crashed into it. The Pentagon has partially collapsed after a plane crashed into it. A plane crashed in Pittsburgh, I think - my mum theorises that it was shot down to stop the terrorists. There's something to do with Colorado. They've evacuated everywhere tall, even over here in London. Lots of people are dead, and the ones that aren't can't phone home because the phonemasts were on top of the now-collapsed Trade Center.
Madness! Oh, it's so frightening. Mum says it's the most significant piece of news since before I was born.
On a less dramatic note: school. Physics was dull, Mr Metcalfe wasn't here so we just had to copy stuff out of a book, and we left early because we had nothing else to do. Then was Further Maths, simultaneous equations and negative sqrts. And (1 + i)n. French was about la santé, and after lunch I had maths (algebra) and then more maths (surds).
On the first bus there was a minor accident blocking Lexden Road (moped with learner driver/car) but noone was hurt seriously. And on the second bus it stalled many times, and I had bizarre conversations with Sam about leaves and buckets. And we gave him his video back, and I got my video from Brian.

Monday, September 10, 2001 -- 05:36 p.m.
Hi! So, today I was in a gold and black mood, so that's what I wore. I told Tim it's because my earrings were gold and black, and he wanted to know what I do if I'm not wearing earrings. Lunatic.
In maths we did surds, which are loopy, but not so hard. They're just complicated. Difference, no? But they are ugly.
Then in physics we did about smoking: Je n'ai jamais essayé de fumer, etc. etc.
Then was a free, so I did much homework, then lunch and my first use of sixthform pushing-in priveliges. La.
Oh, the idiot music teachers think I still have lessons... even though I stopped at the end of spring term. So I have to go shout at the brass teacher, the fools.
May I just say, Matthew has no sense of humour?
After lunch was triple physics (bleh) where we did year 10 stuff, which was soooo boring. But never mind.
Matthew Pendle doesn't eat breakfast, the fool.

Sunday, September 9, 2001 -- 07:00 p.m.
Hee hee... Dad just made me get a savings account.
Savings Account Thing: Please Choose A Name For Your Account.
Me: "Eric".
I'm so easily amused.

Sunday, September 9, 2001 -- 12:04 p.m.
I just thought of another one. I love tea! Caffeine, glorious caffeine, lalala, etc.
Anyway, I have a new campaign. I'm off to talk about it to my inner voices, in shattered.

Saturday, September 8, 2001 -- 11:38 p.m.
"It's like that Twilight thing, about that Zone." ::snigger:: I love the Simpsons.
And may I just say, I also love Lost in Space.

Saturday, September 8, 2001 -- 02:04 p.m.
They Think It's All Over was so hilarious. Is it weird that one of the programmes I find most amusing is about sport, which normally I hate? But that alligator, he he.
I had 50 visitors again last week. Marvellous, keep up the good work. Am I a visitee then?
Eurotrash started again this week, and Graham Norton next week, joy of ultimate joy. And also whoop.
I just polished everyone's shoes. Does anyone else always get shoe polish under their right index finger, or is it just me? Anyway, that means I now have done 0 minutes of work. If I do another 12 seconds of work, I'll get 1p. Hurrah. And it's only the 8th.
Matthew has lots of homework, and I don't, and Lisa is writing a poem about God. How strange.

Friday, September 7, 2001 -- 08:40 p.m.
Hi all, happy Friday. So first I had maths, yawn yawn, more graphs and boringness... no, it was okay. I understood a fair proportion of it. After that was supposed to be General Studies, but that doesn't start until next week, so me, Alice, Mel and Megan went to the canteen and sat around. I did my maths homework, and Alice was reading her psychology textbook at us. Quite interesting, actually.
Then was French, Mrs Murray being scary and weird. I sit with Alice and Katherine and ... Liz(?) (who is Upper Sixth). We were doing some thing about the generation gap, and my homework is to think about my opinion of marriage. In French, no doubt.
Then at lunch I went to volunteer for Careers-ing, and then did my French homework in the formroom while Sam M and Lucy and various others had a weird conversation about rubber.
After lunch I had half an hour free, with the people who had no geography because Mr Bennett had gone somewhere, and then was Further Maths. I'd been fretting (thanks for a good word, Lisa) all day about it, thinking I was the only person taking it, but no! Anna and Joyce take it as well. And most interesting it was too. History of number, and how to find the square root of a negative. Lovely.
Rhiannon is our first year this year (along with Edward's brother Luke, bleh), she's nice enough. I got to talk to Matthew and Sam after so long, hurrah. They're in a play and have to be cannibal plague angels, it's very weird. But fun.
Lalala, I am so jolly today. My word of the day is 'deviant', Lisa's is 'fret', and Matthew Pendle's is 'Frankophile'.
And now the parents are at a beer festival, and we are watching tv.

Thursday, September 6, 2001 -- 02:28 p.m.
So, P1 and 2 (which would have been frees anyway) were in the hall, being talked at by teachers again. Yawn yawn. Oh, but I'm going to go and help out in the careers dept. at lunchtimes (nts: go to meeting tomorrow).
In Physics Mr Bowles was his usual loopy self, off in his own little world jabbering about icebergs and how people should diffuse whenever they walk through a door. I sit at the back (same as in registration) between Sam and Candice.
In Maths we did lots of work :( on the first day and everything! I sit with a new girl called Gemma, who is very nice (and scarily clever).
I want to know who else is doing F. Maths! Please?
And now I am in my free periods, at home.

Wednesday, September 5, 2001 -- 04:42 p.m.
School was so fun, really, what on Earth was I worried about? The madness.
Anyway, I'm in Dr Parrot's form, she's okay (although I don't think I've ever had a lesson with her before, so that's just first impressions). With Alice, Mel, Megan, various other people. And new people.. including Candice, Lucia, Antoinette and Margarethe. All of whom are very nice people.
They're running F.Maths, fortunately (::happy dance::)... and because it's a supplementary subject, I get 3 more free periods than most other people. Lalala! C'est bien.
School was out after 1.30ish, so me, Alice, Megan, Mel, Aditi and Candice went into town and ate/shopped. Jolly.
Anyway: lala!

Tuesday, September 4, 2001 -- 08:58 p.m.
I love the rants at this page. They rock.
Matthew was so tired after his first day at Big School, that he fell asleep. Aah. (If he's at big school, what's sixth form? Giant School?)

Tuesday, September 4, 2001 -- 05:06 p.m.
Well hello there darlings! I am feeling slightly hyper, lalala. Anyway: Matthew went to secondary school today. He's covered in firstyear-fluff, but he's normal otherwise. Ahh, firstyear-fluff, the nostalgia... (and even that's not what it used to be (sorry, dad humour (I love nested brackets)))
Hyper, much? Oh yeah, already said that.
Oh, and I have yet another page to add to my collection: shattered, a blog (why do people hate these? There's nothing wrong with them) which is fairly schizophrenic, but never mind all of that... it's pretty! The background changes colour! Lalala.
Ooh, fan mail! I need more fan mail, it's fun.
Hint.
According to the new chore timetable, if I don't do at least an hour's worth a month I get no pocket money. So far Lisa has done her hour, I've done 40 minutes, and Matthew... has done nothing. Quelle surprise.
French word of the day: une bourrique. Blockhead/donkey. Great.
Je ne suis pas une bourrique.
French! And I played the Sims today, for a timesuck.
Ohhhh, I so don't want to go back to school. But I do. I don't. I don't know, complicated! Ambivalent (does Kryten impression)... haven't quite got the hang of that one. I have the mad people house, full of mad actor-types. It's very fun. I like the genie.
Well, this is a long, rambling entry... Ah well.
The end of this entry.

Tuesday, September 4, 2001 -- 10:51 a.m.
Last night I had a very strange conversation, where I turned into a gingerbread man and Paula and Kerry ate me. It was quite traumatic, but we're still speaking <g>
And also:
Fiona: aren't lister and rimmer the same age or so now?
Me: in one of the books it says rimmer spent lots of time in a stasis booth in his free time so he was younger than he should be so I think lister is actually older now??
Fiona: i think so, that's been bugging me
Me: glad to be of service
Fiona: how old was lister at the beginning? rimmer was 31 i think, lister's at least 30 now
Me: 2149 - Rimmer is born on Io. 2155 - Lister is born.
Fiona: aha
Me: so he was 6 years older at first but 5 if you count stasis so take away all the time in s1-7... um... 4 years up to beginning of s6, so maybe 5 years... so they're the same age! (I think)
Fiona: weeeeeird
Methinks I have waaaay too much spare time. Well, school tomorrow... bleh.

Monday, September 3, 2001 -- 03:22 p.m.
Ross is here (oh, the joy) being loud with Matthew. Mum and Lyn both have to go to the Colne to meet their form tutors, so I have to babysit. Darn.
I'm trying to write a story of Abigail and Hazel having a conversation, but they keep fighting. It's quite annoying.
Linkage: pixelpile / a blog
um...

Monday, September 3, 2001 -- 12:52 a.m.
I'm so slow today.
Me: Why does my search engine hits thingy say 'it seemed like a good idea at the time' in it?
MMIIV: looked at your title recently?
duh...

Monday, September 3, 2001 -- 12:33 a.m.
Maybe bat-hours aren't such a good plan when school goes back this week? Ah well.
East is East was on tv earlier. Very funny, but slightly too evil for my tastes.
Oh, and mum made us have a chore timetable, but we get payed for it. From mine, I should get an extra... £11 a month. That can't be right... no, it is. Madness.
Anyway, sleeps.

Sunday, September 2, 2001 -- 02:09 p.m.
findyourspot.com: I should apparently live in Morgantown, W Virginia. Being non-Merkin, I have no clue if that is good or not.
The number one songs on the day I was born (apparently my life soundtrack): Easy Lover and One More Night. Right then.
My rockabilly kitten name is Miss Angel Face.

Sunday, September 2, 2001 -- 01:46 p.m.
Grand Prix day... yawn... oh, and we have to give Stephen lifts to school from now on. Grarg.
Good thing... I discovered how to get AIM! Now I can talk to many of my chums, joy.
Tired... oh, did I mention Lisa's mango and banana smoothies? Weird, yet strangely addictive.

Saturday, September 1, 2001 -- 08:22 p.m.
Lisa made mango/banana smoothies. Weird, but nice, considering that I hate bananas.

Saturday, September 1, 2001 -- 08:20 p.m.
Judging by the excited squeaks coming from the living room, England are winning 5-1. ::dies of shock::

Saturday, September 1, 2001 -- 07:31 p.m.
Today is a Day of Football (England/Germany) so me and the sibs are hiding in the playroom. Well, actually they've both wandered off now, but, you know... They Think It's All Over has a special called 'They Think It's Uber Alles' later. Hardehar, peoploids.
Oh yeah, I finished reading Colony... is weird, but funny. Oh, and mum found my watch! It was under the sofa (duh).
Got my ifproject topic for September, it's a hard one. What would you do without technology, etc. Evil.
Happy September! (Eh, school soon).

Friday, August 31, 2001 -- 02:11 p.m.
Haircuts, this evening (oh, joy). I don't know why I bother, my hair refuses to change shape anyway. Matthew's tidying his room, a complex process which takes up most of the landing. Although he did find Super Mario (Gameboy version), so Lisa will be happy. I think Lisa's at Zoe's party.
It's Friday, school starts again on ... Wednesday, I think? Anyway, um, I was going to say... oh yeah! I love my new RD video. It has Stasis Leak, Queeg (A!) and Parallel Universe (hehe). Well, anyway.

Thursday, August 30, 2001 -- 07:01 p.m.
Shrek was funny (again), especially when the donkey (Duncan, I think?) said "noone likes a kissass". Me and Ruth fell about, to the bemusement of the other humourless patrons (how about that for a sentence?). It was marvellous.
The girl in The Princess Diaries (saw a trailer) looked totally like Susan... freakishly so. Oh, and I saw the Harry Potter trailer finally. I was annoyed by the wrongness of it (about 7 repitions of 'it's just wrong!') so much, can you imagine how much I'll shout at the whole movie? I'll have to buy a whole screen to myself (yeah, I wish).
Oh yeah, and I got this totally bizarre voicemail message. Last weekend I sent a text to my dad, while at Ruth's (how often can I mention you in one entry, no?). This message was my dad, my mum, and apparently my brother (although it sounds to me like Lisa) talking about it. "Who's J and M? Oh, Julie and Michael. Right, I tried to phone her but it didn't work, I think she's turned it off." And so on. Always funny, no?

Thursday, August 30, 2001 -- 10:29 a.m.
BOOKFEST!!! Yip yip!

Thursday, August 30, 2001 -- 12:09 a.m.
Emo Phillips:
"I worked in a morgue once. You know, I'm a people person, except when they move."
"I want to open a native American sex shop. And sell wet dream catchers.
"I was running through a cornfield and I had a very bad asthmatic attack. 3 of them attacked me - I know, I should have heard them hiding."
Spencer... someone:
"Thank you. Or as our dyslexic friends would say: 'thank you'. It doesn't affect your speech."
"I have a magnetic personality. I must have, because other people with magnetic personalities are repulsed.

Wednesday, August 29, 2001 -- 06:23 p.m.
Tomorrow is going to be joyous. Bookfest again (good old Amazon), and cinema-ing. Shrek again, but it's the kind of movie I'm going to want to watch seventeen thousand times, so eh.
Anyway... Amy has returned, so Lisa is happy (and out), but Matthew is being super-irritating.
La!

Tuesday, August 28, 2001 -- 11:02 a.m.
Yesterday, we had fish and chips at Brightlingsea. The first time we've done that all year, disgraceful. (We had them in Cornwall, but it's not the same). And then we went to the Pointer. It's the pub in the village. I've only been there twice ever... it's changed hands, but it used to be evil.
And then we watched 'top 100 kids tv moments'. Which ruled. The Muppets, Clangers, Sesame Street... I loved it.
Apparently after I left camping at the weekend, Julie got a bit tiddly and spent all night telling people I was a lovely young woman. Ha.

Monday, August 27, 2001 -- 10:54 a.m.
Ooh, mysterious... someone's been typing my name into search engines, it says in my tracker. Wow, stalkers.
Also it says "trolley jousting", for some reason.

Monday, August 27, 2001 -- 10:30 a.m.
I'm back! So camping was great. Julie and Michael are so nice, I love them. We went for a wander on Saturday, and noone had been through the footpath for like 20 years, so dad had to go through knocking all the stinging nettles out of the way with a walking stick. So funny.
I went to Ruth's last night too, the thing was cancelled but I didn't know because my phone was off, so we just had a little mini-party, which was very jolly.
La!

Friday, August 24, 2001 -- 09:59 a.m.
I forget the exact link, but it's in here somewhere...
Your pirate name is: Mad Mary Cash
Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!
Er, right.

Friday, August 24, 2001 -- 09:43 a.m.
I'm going camping again tomorrow. Mum has given us a long list of jobs (one of which says 'fish', bizarrely) and I won't be back till Monday. Except on Sunday I will be somewhere else. Ah well.
I got my DWCON tickets yesterday! What a great day that was, tickets and exam results. That reminds me, Sara is in my newspaper for being scarily clever ::clap clap::

Thursday, August 23, 2001 -- 08:02 p.m.
I am the purple ninja, lalalala (and I got better results than Sonia off Eastenders, you'll be not even remotely interested to hear). La!

Thursday, August 23, 2001 -- 12:19 p.m.
Sorry about the multiple exclamation marks, I know it's the sign of a diseased mind, but I'm so hyper!
Only one, I'm so restrained.
I got my exam results, and they are so much better than I expected!
I got: 3 A*s (French German and Maths) 6 As (Biology Chemistry Physics History English Lit and English Lang) and 2 Bs (Graphics and Geography).
Yes, I got an A in Chemistry!
Lalalala.
Mum is cooking curry for me and Lisa is making toffee, Dad is having a competition with the other people at work with people in my year... I've phoned Grandad and Claline (despite my morbid fear of phones)... Lala!

Wednesday, August 22, 2001 -- 12:37 p.m.
My knees are wet. Mum is in chore-mode, so I've been washing groundsheets (we're camping again this weekend).
Also I have semi-tidied my room. Matthew is writing a story about racist bullies for his English homework (they gave him homework and he doesn't even go to that school until September!)... Lisa's reading, I expect...
Tomorrow is Doomsday, as Laura said.

Tuesday, August 21, 2001 -- 10:56 p.m.
I'm famous, haha. Matthew and Dad have been at the football and are sounding animated, so I guess Ipswich won... although who lost I couldn't say.
Mum has stressed all evening because she wrote the word kitchen on a piece of paper and we didn't realise she meant 'tidy up the kitchen'.
And I have pins and needles in one toe again.

Monday, August 20, 2001 -- 10:14 a.m.
Hey, yo, man! I am Zaphod Beeblebrox.
Ok, so not. Yesterday I was trying to decide whether to marry Gonzo or Kermit. Lisa wants to marry Gonzo too, but then I'd have to face the wrath of Miss Piggy. (Arg)
But if I marry Gonzo, our children will have incredibly deformed noses.
Sorry, I watched Muppet Treasure Island yesterday. (I love it, and I want Muppet Christmas Carol on video!)
I am drinking jasmine tea. It tastes of wood, yum yum. Anyway.

This used to be invisible, honest...
